“When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor”

- Elon Musk

We have learned a lot throughout our journey. At every step of the way, we have been discovering new places and reaching new levels of awareness. We took on multiple challenges with courage and stood together in the face uncertainty.
We persevere in order to achieve the best and admire those who strive to make the world a better place. We are grateful to our professors, mentors and leaders for their education, wisdom and inspiration. Thank you to our partners and audience for also being part of this experience.
As young thinkers and doers, our internal compass is so strongly aligned towards our vision that every part of us is moving towards that direction. We have many new ideas and the horizon is clear. We are ready to build the future. For those who wish to join us to produce major positive impact on the world, we say welcome... to the Next Generation!

Thank you to our NEXT GEN LEADERS

for making this event possible and for offering the networking cocktail

  • Ideas. TEDxConcordia is a way to share them.

We are proud to host our own TEDx. Our previous event featured twelve speakers — with topics from sustainable architecture to space exploration. Presentations at TEDx conferences can have a ripple effect. As part of Concordia’s Strategic Directions initiative, we strive to share and engage. With the city, the world. TEDxConcordia is one of the many ways we’re mixing things up.
    Enjoy — and learn!

As chancellor of Concordia University, I am excited to present and endorse TEDxConcordia, an independently organized multidisciplinary conference. TEDxConcordia establishes a solid base for new ideas to emerge and new structures to rise. It reinforces the values/pillars of our community and builds bridges between people from all walks of life. The event welcomes participants from Concordia, from Montreal and even beyond. It delivers a unique Next Generation experience where long lasting relationships are formed.

  • The whole process from pitching my ideas to giving my talk was extremely easy on my end, thanks to the dedicated team they put together. They made sure that I would give the best talk I could possibly give by pairing me with a very talented and effective toastmaster. On the day of the event, I was impressed by the turn out, and the overall ow of the event. They had gathered an eclectic collection of speakers, and they managed to bring forth all their strengths on stage. I would definitely attend their future events.

  • It was an honour to be invited to speak at the TEDxConcordia event in 2016. It’s not often one gets to hear so many fascinating speakers in one milieu. I was extremely impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the organizers who didn’t miss a single detail. All the speakers were delighted with the program and I wholeheartedly endorse the upcoming 2017 event!

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxConcordia, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxConcordia event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
